Cark Caddesi has become a familiar component of Sakarya, where streets and commercial centers form the main nodes and landmarks of the city. The road is present in the elongated space, filling the void and the city’s veins are characteristic of density. Considering the complexity of life rhythms is very dynamic, mixed with the intricacies of interests and various problems of urban reality. It doesn’t feel like the pause seems to disappear and no longer fills the void.
People are too busy wandering around, too blind to see reality, and too indifferent to feel the slightest sense of loss. This space is sometimes forgotten from the public component. People come just to spend their monthly salary, young people come here to spread charm to each other just to fulfill their prestige, and workers are sweating until late at night. Maybe with these economic interests will be fulfilled, but what about the originality and sustainability of the urban community?
I try to re-imagine the intimate relationship between the object of space and the human subject. A space arrangement created to be an alternative for every visitor with creative community concept approach. Where the choice to find tranquility and new experiences is given by intervening space which itself can change circulation into a space to stop and gather. In addition, I try to expand the potential of the program by articulating creativity in artistic approaches.
